It turns out this is a glitch with the webcam driver. It took me months to find this fix! forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=383983 Now my computer will make it to standby and hibernation even if it was asleep when I close it (before it would just freeze up and the hard drive would continue to run, but I couldn't access it). And I can still use the webcam, it's just listed as an unknown webcam rather than acer crystal webcam.

Best method to easily cut out the commercials and have it begin right at the start of the song is using Sonic MyDVD. Nothing fancy, but works great for the little machine!

I research things all the time and need a place to capture it all. I tend to lose it once I'm done with it, which sucks when I need to reference it again in the future. I'm hoping this houses it all so I can easily find it, and maybe it will help someone else as well!
